Federal agencies are dropping cases against donor companies, politically connected individuals are seemingly skirting accountability for wrongdoing, and the Trump family is massively growing its fortune through cryptocurrency.
Whether it’s Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, whose former Wall Street firm was tapped as lead placement agent on a $1.6 billion Commerce Department deal, or Interior Secretary Doug Burgum, who is leasing his family’s land to Harold Hamm’s fracking company while opening up public lands to the rest of the industry, it’s clear that this administration is run by and for its donor class.
