Ella Fanger is a rising senior at Yale University studying Ethics, Politics, and Economics. She has previously worked with the watchdog office for the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department, assisting with investigations into unconstitutional policing and jail conditions. She has also worked on campaigns concerning voting rights and corporate influence in politics with Public Citizen. Her research interests include incarceration, immigration, surveillance, and corporate capture. She is also pursuing a minor in Arabic, and has assisted with NGO research projects on refugee resettlement in Connecticut and economic justice the MENA region.
