Kelly Loeffler
Net worth: $ 1 Billion (As of November 22nd, 2024)
- Kelly Loeffler, the current chief of the Small Business Administration, is the former senator from Georgia, who was defeated by Raphael Warnock during the 2020 Senate runoff election. She has been a close ally of Donald Trump for years. Loeffler was a major Republican donor closely tied to Georgia Republican governor Brian Kemp, who was appointed to fill the senate seat from the late Sen. Johnny Isakson.
- Loeffler’s husband, Jeffrey Sprecher, is the head of the New York Stock Exchange. Loeffler and Sprecher are both prolific Republican donors, including to Trump.
- Loeffler spent her short time in the Senate fighting the allegations of a major insider trading scandal in which she used information about COVID to benefit her own personnel coffers.
- After losing her Senate bid, Loeffler started a Georgia based voting rights initiative aimed at registering Republican donors (a move mimicking fellow Georgia politician, Stacy Abrams.)
