“Tax Prom” is an event hosted by the Tax Foundation that seeks to bring together everyone from “Capitol Hill tax staffers to VPs of tax and government affairs departments at Fortune 1000 companies, trade associations, and law firms” to discuss tax policy.
Below are two charts, one laying out the 2024 corporate sponsors of the event, and the other laying out every recipient of the Tax Foundation’s Distinguished Service Award since 1941. This award is given at the Tax Prom every year, and seeks to honor “…public figures for their efforts to advance sound tax policy.” Figures like one of the leading proponents of economic inequality, Pat Toomey.
