In response to reports that President Biden intends to nominate Saule Omarova to lead the Office of the Comptroller of Currency, Revolving Door Project Executive Director Jeff Hauser issued the following statement:

Omarova’s National Investment Authority proposal is exactly the kind of deeply-researched, bold policy rooted in a progressive vision of economic populism we want to see from leaders across the federal government. Particularly given Michael Barr’s earlier efforts to secure the OCC job, we are particularly gladdened to see a fintech and crypto skeptic appointed.”
